Our Experts

Andrei Link

Andrei LinkAndrei has over two decades of experience in international product, project and marketing management, working for a global NASDAQ-listed technology company, an innovative health company with customers in 130+ countries, and an award-winning consumer electronics company. His experience also includes co-founding a software localization tools company, publishing articles and reviews in the “Multilingual Computing” magazine, and serving on the Canterbury Software Cluster Committee, Connect New Zealand Committee, CPIT Business Advisory Committee, and as the Chairman of the Christchurch Branch of the Project Management Institute. Andrei has coached a number of Canterbury companies as a Business Mentor and Exporter Education Programme presenter, and mentored teams participating in the University of Canterbury Entre competition, Christchurch Startup Weekend and Lightning Lab Christchurch. He is a certified Project Management Professional and holds an MBA degree with Distinction from the Massey University specialising in marketing, finance and accounting.

Geoff Brash

Geoff BrashGeoff is an entrepreneur, investor and business mentor with significant experience in developing, marketing and selling advanced solutions for international markets. He is the founder of GBJ Innovation, working with various organisations, entrepreneurs, and startup companies to help startups succeed in New Zealand. Prior to GBJ Geoff was a co-founder of SLI Systems, a public company with customers worldwide, where he held positions of CFO, VP of Marketing, and VP of Business Intelligence. He is a board member of Canterbury Angel Investors and Trustee for the Ministry of Awesome. Geoff has served as the Programme Director of the Christchurch 2015 Lightning Lab Programme, Chair of the Canterbury Software Cluster, co-organiser of Startup Weekend Christchurch, a University of Canterbury Entre competition mentor. Geoff holds an MBA from Massey University.

Jane Montgomery

jane-montgomery-150x150Jane is one of Multiplier’s selected external providers of training courses and has specialised as an intellectual property lawyer for more than 23 years. She worked for two leading New Zealand law firms in Auckland and Christchurch before commencing her own practice as an independent barrister in 2003. She provides sound intellectual property advice to clients using her extensive background and practical focus. Jane has worked with clients of all sizes, and understands how intellectual property fits into the different stages of a client’s growth path.

Marina Roman

marina-roman-150x150Marina is a Certified Quality Practitioner with over 25 years of international experience in product development, design and manufacturing, project management and market development in commercial and educational environments. Having worked in a number of businesses with world-class products, she specialises in Product Data Management, quality management, lean manufacturing, ISO compliance, cross-functional coordination, and engineering documentation control.​ Marina has extensive hands-on experience of working in complex technical environments with a focus on continuous improvement of products and services and emphasis on understanding customer requirements and achieving customer satisfaction.  She has managed in-house and contract manufacturing projects from ideation to concept design to prototype development and First Article Report to volume manufacturing, with special attention to managing a full set of Product Data Documentation in strict compliance with worldwide standards and best practices.

Murray Aitken

photo_coming_soon_bigMurray has over 25 years of experience in iconic New Zealand export-oriented organisations, ranging from start-up through to commercial environments, working in R&D, engineering, operations and project management roles. With a passion for innovation, he has worked on a variety of leading edge technologies and products and was part of the team that won the 2008 IPENZ Engineering Innovator of the Year Award. Murray specialises in mechanical product design, development and life-cycle management, product reliability improvements, quality control, and integration of R&D with strategic product planning. He has extensive experience in cross-functional team leadership and mentoring. Murray’s qualifications include a PhD in Theoretical Fluid Dynamics (Tribology) from the University of Canterbury.

Paul Hill

Paul HillPaul is an entrepreneur who has invented, marketed and sold innovative products in diverse areas of water treatment, energy conservation, online marketing, and air filtration. He has a strong background in product innovation, design and manufacturing; sales and marketing; and importing and exporting. With a passion for innovation and supporting early stage businesses, Paul is a Director of several companies and the President of the Recessed Luminaire Barrier Association of New Zealand. His current interests include 3D printing technologies, products and services; energy efficiency technologies and products; and recent advances in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

Shelley Grell

shelleyShelley has over 20 years of experience in specialist public relations, marketing and event management supporting technology innovators and exporters in the UK and New Zealand. Her background also includes delivering effective high impact training solutions to a variety of businesses across multiple industry sectors. She has considerable expertise in an extensive range of services and tactics for both one-off projects and on-going communications, and has nurtured excellent relations with strategic industry partners to offer clients a seamless integrated PR, marketing and event management operation. Shelley’s is passionate about supporting the community and served on the Canterbury Software Cluster Committee for a number of years.

Tim Jones

tim-jonesTim is a highly experienced sales and business professional  passionate about raising the standard of sales people and teams. His experience includes working in senior sales management and business development positions and achieving sales growth rates of up to 160% in a year. Above all else he is determined that business should be a force for good and is a B Corporation ambassador in New Zealand. Tim spent 10 years in medical device sales where he was working with product managers aiming to launch new products into the Australian and New Zealand markets. His personal experiences of the good, bad and the ugly of the sales – Product Management relationship means he can provide you with insights having real world application that you can take into your own role.
